When we are at school undertaking traditional education in classrooms rather than virtual classrooms which is the case these days COVID -19, what are we thinking about and what will happen next? Life has given us a chance to ponder what we can do differently and shake up all the usual and traditional routes post-school and even vocational or academic choices, government, private sector or enterprise, and entrepreneurship! Every cloud has a silver lining and this is a space when we can review all the ‘normal’ milestones and see if we want to continue in the same patterns or capitalize on the disruption we are living in?
So what is the best direction to take? Job or Career?
What would we do if we could do anything at all? Just ponder that for a few minutes and put down the first thoughts that come into your head even the crazy ones. Now you have done that, see what fits with your passion, your parent’s expectations, the extended family, your peer group, and your sense of responsibility to your country. Remember life is never going to be the same as it was at the end of 2019. So, going forward do you want a job that gives you ‘enough’ or do you want a career that allows you to make a difference and perhaps even leave a legacy?
Be smart your future is ahead of you and you want to make choices that will enable you to be the best you, you can be. Fulfilled people are magnets for positive energy and their impact is like ripples of water from a stone thrown into a pond affecting all those who come into their space.
